E-Lyte Innovations GmbH secures strategic electrolyte salt supply for the US market and strengthens supply chain resilience

Kaiserslautern, June 10, 2025 – E-Lyte Innovations GmbH (E-Lyte), a leading European developer and manufacturer of electrolyte solutions for innovative energy storage systems, has signed, together with FUCHS LUBRICANTS GERMANY GmbH (FLG) – the largest subsidiary of the FUCHS Group- , a letter of intent (LOI) with the Indian specialty chemicals company Anupam Rasayan India Ltd. The aim of the collaboration is to secure a long-term supply of lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF₆), a key electrolyte component for lithium-ion batteries.

The planned partnership is of great strategic importance for E-Lyte: it will enable the US market to be supplied with electrochemical materials in accordance with the requirements of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). In addition, the qualification of another supplier will make a decisive contribution to the establishment of a resilient and diversified supply chain.

Under the LOI, the target is a potential supply volume of up to 1,500 tons of LiPF₆ per year at full production capacity at Anupam Rasayan. Commercial deliveries could begin as early as 2027, provided that market conditions in terms of price, quality, and quantity are met.

Dr. Ralf Wagner, CEO of E-Lyte Innovations GmbH, comments:

“It is essential for us to be able to source critical electrolyte components on a long-term basis in the highest quality and at stable prices. With Anupam Rasayan, we are gaining another experienced potential partner who meets these requirements and thus contributes to the future security of our electrolyte production for lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and next-generation batteries.”

The cooperation builds on the existing strategic partnership with FLG, which has been supporting E-Lyte on its growth path since 2022 as a minority shareholder and technology-oriented partner.
