AnSiLiS
The AnSiLiS project aims to develop and optimize a semi-solid Li-S concept that enables improved electrolyte control, more stable sulfur cathodes, and more efficient cell kinetics. Simulation-based electrolyte and material development as well as multimodal operando analyses will be used to develop new solution strategies and demonstrate them in multilayer pouch cells.
This approach accelerates the development process, optimizes cell architecture, and improves compatibility between cathode material and electrolyte. AnSiLiS thus makes a decisive contribution to the further development of sustainable energy storage technologies and strengthens the technologically advanced, competitive, and resource-efficient battery value chain.
The AnSiLiS consortium consists of eight scientific and industrial partners. The project is coordinated by E-Lyte Innovations GmbH, with support from the Helmholtz Center Berlin for Materials and Energy, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, the German Aerospace Center at the Helmholtz Institute Ulm, the University of Freiburg, the Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology, and the Technical University of Dresden. Cabot Battery Materials GmbH is an associated partner.
