On January 28–29, partners of the ATENA+ project came together in San Sebastián for the latest consortium meeting, kindly hosted by CIDETEC. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to review project progress, align on next technical milestones, and strengthen collaboration across the consortium.
Within ATENA+, partners from across Europe are jointly working to deliver concrete improvements in the performance, safety, and reliability of sodium-ion battery technology. A central objective of the project is to enhance the competitiveness of sodium-ion batteries compared to established LFP systems, addressing key aspects such as materials selection, cell design, electrolyte development, and overall system performance.
Collaboration and knowledge exchange within projects like ATENA+ are essential to driving innovation and strengthening Europe’s battery ecosystem.
