Funded project ENTISE

ENTISE

Development of sodium-ion technology for industrially scalable energy storage.

ENTISE (Development of Sodium-Ion Technology for Industrially Scalable Energy Storage) is a consortium of 15 companies (coordinator: VARTA AG) and universities with the aim of developing cost-effective, high-performance and environmentally friendly sodium-ion batteries. The official approval for the project took place on May 2 with the handover of the funding decision by the Federal Minister of Education and Research, Bettina Stark-Watzinger. The project was scheduled to start on June 1, 2024. The simulation-controlled development of cathode materials will be carried out by the modeling team led by Prof. Payam Kaghazchi at IEK-1.
