On Wednesday, we had the privilege of attending the official handover of funding notification ceremony of the new “FutureLab” at the Institut für Oberflächen- und Schichttechnik GmbH (IFOS) in Kaiserslautern.
It was a remarkable moment for the Rhineland-Palatinate region: the official grant of €8.3 million, awarded as part of the EFRE program (Europäischer Font für regionale Entwicklung), was handed over on site at the institute by Minister Daniela Schmitt. This marks the beginning of a new era of cutting-edge battery research.
At E-Lyte, we are especially proud to see a local institute and potential collaboration partner receive this significant support. With state-of-the-art analysis and processing systems, the new FutureLab will not only strengthen IFOS’s international competitiveness but also open up exciting new opportunities for synergies between local research and industry in the battery space.
Congratulations to the entire IFOS team! We look forward with great anticipation to potential joint projects ahead!
Many thanks to Michael Wahl for capturing this moment with our CEO, Ralf Wagner, PhD (right), and Prof. Dr. Johannes L’huillier, CEO of IFOS (left).
