We contributed to the 6th International Sodium Battery Symposium (SBS-6) in Dresden. Europe’s dedicated symposium for sodium battery research, brings together universities, research institutes, and industry to cover the full spectrum of Na-ion energy storage technology.
Representing E-Lyte, our colleague Jonathan was honored with the Poster Prize for his work in the field of electrolytes for sodium-ion batteries. His poster investigated the mechanism of sodium plating in layered-oxide pouch cells and presented a novel strategy to suppress plating via tailored electrolyte additives. By introducing both a cathode-active additive and a SEI-forming additive, Jonathan demonstrated improvements in cycle life and energy throughput at high cut-off voltages, a promising step toward more robust, high-energy Na-ion cells.
Congratulations to Jonathan! At E-Lyte, we remain committed to advancing electrolyte innovation to accelerate reliable, post-lithium energy storage solutions.
A big thank you to Fraunhofer IKTS and all co-organizers for hosting such an excellent symposium and fostering exchange within the sodium-battery community.
